Ֆրանսիայի ամենահայտնի թագուհիներից մեկի՝ Մարի Անտուանետին պատկանած երկու ադամանդյա թևնոցներն աճուրդի են հանվելու ավելի քան 4 մլն դոլարով:
Ինչպես գրում է Daily Mail-ը, թանկարժեք զարդերը թագուհին իր մահապատժի իրագործումից առաջ հանձնել էր ընկերոջը:
Թևնոցները զարդարված են 112 ադամանդով: Զարդերը, Ֆրանսիական հեղափոխության ժամանակ թագուհու և նրա ամուսնու՝ Լուի XIV-ի ձերբակալությունից հետո, դուրս են բերվել Ֆրանսիայից:
1793-ին թագավորական զույգի մահապատժից հետո, զարդերը հայտնվել են նրանց ավագ դստեր՝ Մարի Թերեզայի մոտ, որն արտաքսվել է Մեծ Բրիտանիա: Աղջիկը մահացել է 1851 թվականին, իսկ նրա զարդերի հավաքածուն բաժանվել է իր երեք զարմուհիների և զարմիկների միջև: Երկու թևնոցները Christie's-ի աճուրդի տանն է հանձնվել եվրոպական թագավորական ընտանիքներից մեկի անանուն անդամի կողմից:
